Info & Tips

How shall I use my cruise route image?

Your cruise map is yours to enjoy however you like, and get creative with!

For an idea of what your map will look like, click on the map styles to see some examples. A few popular ideas:

Print straight from your phone - Download the image to your phone and print it instantly at popular photo‑kiosk retailers worldwide, including Walmart Photo Centers in the US and Canada, CEWE partner stores across Europe, Tesco, Boots and Snappy Snaps in the UK, and Officeworks or Harvey Norman in Australia.

Create personalised photo gifts - Upload your map to any online print service and turn it into something special: wall art, photobooks, calendars, greeting cards, cushions etc. They make great presents and reminders of special holidays like honeymoons and anniversaries.

Build your own cruise logbook - Many travellers use their cruise route image for a physical or digital logbook to record memories from each voyage.

Customise it for your project - Your map is delivered as a standard JPEG or WEBP file, so you can resize, crop or edit it to fit whatever you’re creating.

What dates should I enter?

Choose any start and end dates you like — they just need to be at least one day apart and no more than 30 days in total.

The route will run from midday on the start date to midday on the end date.

Your dates don’t have to match your actual cruise dates. Some people highlight the most interesting stretch of their trip, others split a long voyage into sections for things like photobooks.

Please double‑check your dates before you create your image as each map is made just for you and can’t be changed afterwards.

What size and shape will my image be?

Your image will be a rectangle with proportions chosen to show your full route clearly from end to end.

The map is always shown north‑up: routes that run mostly north–south will produce a portrait image, and routes that run east–west will be landscape.

You can print your map at a wide range of sizes, and it stays sharp at typical photo‑printing dimensions (up to roughly 11×17 inches or A3, and even a little beyond).

The file is a standard image, so you’re free to resize or crop it however you like.

When and how will I get my image?

As soon as you’ve paid and checked out, your map is created and a download link is emailed to you. This often takes just a few minutes, but during busy times or for complex routes it can take longer.

Click the link in the email to download your image — you can download it up to three times on different devices.

Your download link will come from: hello@mycruiseroute.com

If you don’t see the email after a few minutes, check your junk folder. And if it still hasn’t arrived after 6 hours, drop us a message at hello@mycruiseroute.com and we will help.

Will my cruise ship be covered?

The vast majority of cruise ships from the past five years are already included, but a few may still be missing. If you don’t see your ship in the list, email us at hello@mycruiseroute.com and we’ll do our best to add it.

What if there is a problem with my image?

We want you to love your cruise route image, so if something is not right, email us at hello@mycruiseroute.com and let us know. If we can fix it, we will — and if not, you will receive a full refund.

May I distribute MyCruiseRoute images?

Your MyCruiseRoute image is for your personal use. This means you may not distribute it, and it is not for use in a commercial project. Apart from that, and as long as it is legal, you can use it however you like! You can read more about this in our Terms of service.
